Oh. My. God.

A Real-Life David Brent!

I could just imagine the meeting where this pathetic display was thought-up:

A bunch of Bank of America suits are sitting around a table brainstorming ways to commemorate their merger with MBNA. Someone pulls out a guitar, suggests rewriting a U2 song, making it about credit cards and performing it live, in shirts and ties, at a conference for their employees and investors. You know, to raise morale.

There’s silence. No one moves. Then a clap, just one, a solitary clap that builds slowly until everyone is standing and clapping and loud and excited. And then…

Free Love on the Free Love Freeway,” anyone?

Thanks to Mike Birbiglia for posting this on his Twitter. Hilarious.
